Recycling Inspiration

I wasn’t sure I’d write a blog today, having been concentrating on the mundane admin tasks. Didn’t think reading about book-keeping, tax returns and printing business cards would be too exciting!

However I’ve just had a lightbulb moment. I have some old drinking glasses that are cloudy and definitely past their best and today bought some new ones to replace them. Being cloudy and 20 yrs old they are not fit for the charity shop and I’ve just learnt cannot be recycled in the bottle bank. Now I hate just throwing things out. Last year I found a use for old worn out teflon coated saucepans.  I removed the handles and now they make great plant pot holders.

My inspiration for those old glasses is of course to paint them, don’t know why it took me so long to think of that! I’ll then use them as candle holders. I’ve not totally decided on a design, you’ll have to read my next blog to see how they turn out.
